About the artist
I am from Oslo, Norway, where I also live and work. Since 2010 I moved my artistic practise outdoors into the forest nearby where I live. All my works are being made outside, en plein air, trough all seasons. I investigate my surroundings trough observations and material experiments. The forces of nature interact with my materials, ink and gouache on paper. Traces of frost, rain, and the process of decay appear in many of my images. Some of my works have a performative aspect – the drawings are actions, as well as images.
